First Viva

A young mare with a distinguished dressage pedigree

First Viva is one of our younger broodmares. The bay Oldenburg mare was born on 30 March 2022. At 178 centimetres she has a large frame. Her sire Viva Gold OLD and dam First Affair by Ampère combine two dressage lines whose histories reach from young stallion testing to international Grand Prix.

First Viva successfully completed her mare performance test in 2025 with the score required for the main premium. With her foal registered with the Oldenburg studbook, she holds the title of Oldenburg Main Premium Mare. At Sieberthof, we look forward to her continued development and the breeding opportunities her pedigree offers.

Viva Gold OLD: success up to international Grand Prix

First Viva's sire Viva Gold OLD has made an impressive transition to top-level dressage. With Isabell Werth, the Vivaldi son won the Louisdor Prize Final at Frankfurt's Festhalle in December 2025. The scoreboard showed 75.62 per cent after this important class for young Grand Prix horses.

Two international wins followed outside Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna in September 2026: Viva Gold OLD and Isabell Werth won the Grand Prix with 77.37 per cent and the freestyle with 86.565 per cent. These results confirm his success at the highest level of dressage.

His family also deserves attention: Viva Gold OLD is out of Weihronce and a grandson of Olympic mare Weihegold OLD. First Viva carries this connection through her sire. Her own dam line begins with First Affair and Ampère.

Ampère: outstanding from his first major appearance

Damsire Ampère was champion of the 2008 KWPN licensing in ’s-Hertogenbosch and subsequently won his 70-day test. His individual marks illustrate the result: 9.5 for canter and 9.0 each for trot, suppleness, rideability and dressage potential. His walk received 8.0.

Ampère is by Rousseau out of a Flemmingh mare. Rousseau won silver at the 2003 World Young Dressage Horse Championships and sired three consecutive KWPN licensing champions: Wamberto, Blue Hors Zack and Ampère. Her dam line therefore adds its own record of achievement to the success on her sire's side.
