Special Emotion

Special Emotion: a name with special meaning

Special Emotion combines her own success in the show ring with a family story that means a great deal to us. Born on 16 May 2019, the black mare by Dezember out of elite mare Seeconda has been at Sieberthof since 2022. Her breeder Sabine Oberdieck passed away that same year. Together with her maternal half-sisters Seaflower and Seeperle, Special Emotion keeps alive the memory of Sabine's great passion for Trakehner horses and a breeding programme whose influence extends across generations.

At 171 cm Special Emotion has a generous frame. Her pronounced Trakehner type, athletic appearance and dynamic movement make her a striking representative of her family. Her grading results confirmed those impressions.

Reserve champion at the 2022 Central Mare Registration

Special Emotion became reserve champion at the 2022 Central Mare Registration of the Lower Saxony–Hanover breeding district. Her recorded scores of 9.0 / 8.0 / 7.5 / 7.0 / 8.5 / 8.0 / 8.5 totalled 56.5 points. This achievement is part of her own story and makes her a particularly fine representative of the next generation of the Seeconda family.

For us this appearance also has a personal meaning: it connects the memory of a special breeding programme with this mare's future at Sieberthof. Her name therefore represents more than a memorable entry in a horse passport.

Dezember: sporting ancestry and successful offspring

Special Emotion belongs to the first crop of our premium stallion Dezember, born in 2019. His sire is Herakles TSF by Gribaldi; his dam Donauweise is by Imperio. Both sides of his pedigree therefore feature stallions proven in advanced dressage.

Herakles TSF, for example, finished second in the CDI3* Redefin Grand Prix with Wieger de Boer in 2022. Imperio, the sire of Dezember's dam, adds another internationally successful Trakehner Grand Prix stallion. Dezember also made an early impression as a sire of breeding horses: his son Tanzfürst was licensed and awarded a premium at the 2022 Trakehner Stallion Market. Special Emotion contributes her own show success to this young sire record.

Seeconda: a versatile family of performers

Dam Seeconda by Consul traces through Seeadler to Thoroughbred mare Cresta Star xx by Andalusier xx. Her offspring include S-level dressage winner and sire Schwarzgold, Grand Prix horse Standing Ovation TSF and Sir Arthur TSF, winner of the 2011 Hesse Professional Riders' Championship. They are Special Emotion's maternal half-siblings and demonstrate the breadth of performance in this dam line.

From the show ring to the next generation

Special Emotion now has offspring of her own: Special Agent 007 by Ivanhoe was born in 2024, followed by Total Special SH by Total Hope in 2026. This opens a new chapter in her story. Her own registration success, Dezember as her sire and direct descent from Seeconda make her a mare whose breeding future we follow with particular pleasure.
