The portrait
Biennale
Some horses give us a moment we never forget. For Biennale it was the 2023 Trakehner Riding Horse Championship final: the grey mare won the four-year-old mares and geldings class with 9.429. A test rider even awarded the maximum score of 10. It was an exceptional achievement for Sieberthof, and Biennale confirmed her quality shortly afterwards in Warendorf.
Competing with Anna-Maria Locher
Biennale is currently ridden by 16-year-old Anna-Maria Locher, who also rides our stallion Dezember. Anna-Maria and Biennale have already enjoyed several successes in Baden-Württemberg in 2026.
A particular highlight was the Baden-Württemberg Championships in Ichenheim: riding Biennale, Anna-Maria became the 2026 reserve regional champion in the separate junior dressage championship division. After three championship rounds they secured silver with 605 championship points. They won both the second and third L** rounds.
Earlier, in May, they won an amateur M* dressage rider class at the Winterlingen Winners with a score of 7.2.
From Neumünster to the championship final
Biennale was born on 28 May 2019. She is by High Motion out of Berlinale by Heuberger TSF – Suchard – Anduc and belongs to the Trakehner O344 Sylvia family. She stands 167 centimetres. Biennale also holds two breeding awards: in 2023 she received the state premium and the Trakehner studbook premium.
As a three-year-old she was part of the riding horse collection at the Trakehner Stallion Market in Neumünster. After a period of rest and development, she began her first competition season in 2023. She won a young riding horse class at Kleinsolt and finished second in the Riding Horse Championship at Wedel. Those early results marked the start of a summer we will always remember.

High Motion and Heuberger: two routes to advanced dressage
Sire High Motion won his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 2017 with 8.84. His subsequent career took him into advanced dressage with Laura Strobel. In 2022 the pair won the international Prix St Georges in Achleiten; in 2023 they won the Intermédiaire II in Essen-Herbergen with 71.75 per cent.
Damsire Heuberger TSF, a son of Imperio, competed successfully at international Grand Prix level under Anabel Balkenhol. For a time, father and son both belonged to the German dressage A squad. Both sides of her pedigree therefore feature stallions whose careers developed well beyond young horse classes.
The Sylvia family
The Mittermayer family developed Biennale's dam line over many years. Its particular strength is its range of sport horses: Brenner, Braveur and Balisto represent show jumping, while Bisazza, Basmati and Beauvais represent eventing. Dressage representatives include reserve Bundeschampion and internationally successful Brancusi TSF.
Biennale adds a clearly documented championship performance of her own to this family history. Her story is about her pedigree, the performances she has delivered herself and the people who have helped her along the way.
